Why choose the L'Arche d'Yvann stopover?
The gite is located on the historic path, which initially connected Estaing to Campuac and then Golinhac, before the official GR®65 route was modified.
💡 Hikers' tip when leaving Estaing:
To reach us in Campuac, you have two excellent options depending on what you are looking for:
Option 1: The GR®6 (The most beautiful route)
By taking the GR®6 directly from Estaing, the distance remains equivalent to the official route, but you enjoy a much more pleasant path:
- A much higher proportion of dirt trails and significantly less asphalt (unlike the GR®65).
- A magnificent and breathtaking panoramic view over the village of Estaing right from the start.
Option 2: The shortcut via Fonteilles (The shortest route)
If you prefer to start on the official GR®65 route, you can branch off and cut towards Campuac at Fonteilles to switch over to the GR®6. Switching from one GR trail to the other allows you to benefit from a 4 km shortcut on your overall day walk.
