Is L'Arche d'Yvann on the GR65? +

L'Arche d'Yvann is located in Campuac, on the historic route of the Way of St. James, between Espalion and Conques. The village can be reached from the GR65 by turning off at Fonteilles, or directly via the GR6 from Estaing.

💡 Campuac was on the original route before the official GR65 was rerouted. Many experienced pilgrims choose this path for its authenticity.

How do I reach the gîte from Estaing? +

Two options depending on your preference:

  • GR6 option (recommended) — A more scenic route, mostly on dirt trails, with a breathtaking panoramic view of the village of Estaing right from the start. Distance equivalent to the official route.
  • Fonteilles shortcut option — Stay on the GR65 from Estaing, then turn off towards Campuac at Fonteilles. You'll save 4 km on your overall stage.
🚗 Yvann can pick you up in Fonteilles (2 km from the gîte) or in Golinhac. Feel free to get in touch in advance.

What are the distances from Campuac? +
  • Estaing — about 13 km (via the GR6)
  • Espalion — about 24 km
  • Conques — 20 km
Is there a shuttle or transport service? +

Yes. Yvann can pick you up in Fonteilles (2 km) or Golinhac. The next morning, you can continue on your way via Campagnac to rejoin the GR65, saving a few extra kilometres.

What types of accommodation do you offer? +

L'Arche d'Yvann offers two types of stay in a 17th-century manor house that can host up to 25 people:

  • Guest rooms — Double or family rooms with private bathroom, authentic décor with exposed wood and stone.
  • Stopover gîte — Rooms with 2, 3 or 4 beds (10 rooms in total), suited to pilgrims and groups of hikers.
What are the rates? +
  • Guest rooms — From €85 per night (2 people, breakfast included)
  • Dinner — €18 per person (by reservation)
  • Massage — €15 (legs and/or back, with Myriam, relaxologist, 50 m from the gîte)

Is breakfast included? +

Yes, a generous breakfast is included with guest rooms, made with fresh produce. Dinner can also be arranged on request for €18 per person — perfect after a long day's walk.

Is the property open all year round? +

Yes, L'Arche d'Yvann welcomes pilgrims and hikers all year round. However, it's advisable to book ahead during the high season (April to October), the busiest period on the Camino de Santiago.
